Art Neighbor (AN) is proud to announce the opening of our unique Art & Collectible Marketplace. It took longer than we expected because just like art, it has been a constantly evolving labor of love. We didn't rest until we got it right, and we think everyone will enjoy its simplicity and transparency. We want to thank all of you for remaining AN enthusiasts as we upgraded our site. The Marketplace has been designed to provide a simple, enjoyable, and most importantly, fair and safe environment for buying and selling Art & Collectibles. We have partnered with Safefunds.com, a leader in online escrow services that ensures safe and secure transactions, while protecting both buyers and sellers. To help remove the fear and apprehension associated with buying expensive items online, we have developed the AN 'Out on Approval' system. With the 'Out on Approval' system, buyers have the added convenience of seeing and inspecting purchases before payment is released to the seller. The 'Out on Approval' system works in conjunction with Safefunds, and is available on any item purchased for $2,000 or more (see our Buying and Selling Instructions for more info.) We have also added a 'Make an Offer' option, in which sellers can allow buyers to negotiate the price of an item directly. Buyers can get information and communicate with sellers, on any item, through the 'Ask the Seller a Question' link and the AN email system.

We see that you have uploaded 3 to your profile. If you are an artist or collector that would like to sell any of your items, you can list them in the Marketplace by logging into your profile and selecting List Item In Marketplace.

Other new features include revamped search options, a Feedback system, the ability to follow individual artists and specific items, an Artist Directory, a customized dashboard with feed, and much more. We will also be holding AN contests regularly. These are real contests for real money. In addition to the winner receiving a cash prize, they will have their winning piece inducted into the new Art Neighbor Museum and be the Featured Artist on our homepage. The first contest will be held in the coming week and details will be posted in the contests section of the site.

As you can see, there are many exciting things happening at AN. As we continue to make improvements and add new features and functionality, we ask for your continued patience and support. Our staff would greatly appreciate feedback regarding any issues or problems you might experience, and your suggestions on new features are always welcome.
